Have holiday pictures? Here’s what to do with them
Holiday pictures can accumulate so easily, especially in today’s age of digital cameras. We can take hundreds of pictures, upload them to out computers, and then forget that they’re even there. But why take up the storage space when you could be sharing them with your friends and family? There are a number of things you can do with holiday pictures – here are a few. One of the most common ways to use your holiday pictures is to create holiday picture cards. This can be done in a few different ways. If you already have a greeting card making program, you can take the Christmas holiday picture and simply add it to the template, print them out and send them to friends and family. Or, you might just send the file as a virtual Christmas card via email. You can also create holiday picture paper and write a longer update to friends and family to include in a traditional holiday card. You might also want to include holiday pictures as a part of an invitation for a holiday party or in a thank you note after gifts have been received. If you work on a computer often or have one that’s in a main area of your home, you can take those holiday pictures and use one as a free holiday desktop picture. Simply open the file and right click on the image, select ‘Set as Desktop Background’ and you have a beautiful reminder of holidays past and present. Your desktop holiday pictures can change every day or simply whenever you feel the need. Winter holiday pictures can also be chosen from internet websites to help create a holiday scene for your workday.
When you have children, you may want to turn your holiday pictures into holiday coloring pictures. This is easily done by printing your images in black and white, rather than the traditional color, and allowing your children and their friends to color them in. A Christmas coloring holiday picture can be posted on the refrigerator or used as a part of a children’s holiday party as well. For example, pictures of the holiday express train are easy to color in and can be made into a sort of contest to see who has colored the best picture.
Holiday pictures don’t just have to be a file on your computer. Share them with your friends and family, place them on your desktop, and turn them into a nice afternoon craft project. Now that’s spreading holiday cheer.
